Our Manager, PR & Communications, Real Estate & Architecture will assist with the development of communications strategies and programs to promote and gain overall brand recognition for Nickerson and our real estate and architecture client-partners.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Candidate must be a sophisticated writer and thinker, a well-connected communicator who understands how to engage with the wide variety of the audiences we serve – consumer, trade, corporate and social
  • Assist with managing strategy and execution of long and short-term high impact PR and integrated marketing campaigns for client-partners including media tours, feature story development, press releases, award programs, analyst relations, executive speaker placement, etc.
  • Manage writing and content development for client-partners
  • Build and maintain national/international relationships with key reporters
  • React quickly to crisis situations
  • Collaborate across creative services, events, and social media departments to execute integrated communications programs
  • Participate in calls with client-partners
  • Manage Coordinators and Senior Coordinators
  • Work efficiently to ensure projects are successful and remain within scope
  • Prepare and deliver PR performance metrics to Leadership Team
  • Assist in mentoring and managing associates/interns
  • Adhere to agency systems, processes, and best practices
  • Participate in Lunch & Learns on best practices, new tools, etc.
  • Foster a sense of culture across team and agency
  • Represent Nickerson at various events
  • Participate in industry organizations

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Agency experience required
  • Real estate and architecture experience required
  • Established relationships within the real estate and architecture industries
  • Maintains professional membership in real estate and/or architecture organization(s)
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, journalism or related field
  • 3+ years experience executing external and internal communications programs
  • Advanced writing, verbal communications, presentation and project management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Strategic yet creative thinker, self-starter and team player willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
  • Competence in Microsoft computer programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive
  • Experience with Salesforce, Cision, Asana database software a plus
